Companion Planting for the Fall

One of the best ways to grow is with others! When you decide where to plant your garden greens, keep in mind who they grow the best with. Here are some Fall growing buddies to help your garden flourish:

  • Beetroot: Brussel sprouts, broccoli, onions, swiss chard, cabbage
  • Cabbage: Brussel sprouts, broccoli, kale, tomatoes, spinach, swiss chard
  • Carrots: Lettuce, cabbage, leek, radishes, peas, onions
  • Potatoes: Cabbage, peas, squash, beans, corn
  • Tomatoes: Onions, carrots, cabbage
  • Onions: Lettuce, parsnips, carrots, cabbage, beetroot
  • Radishes: Peas, carrots, parsnips, lettuce, cucumber, spinach
  • Swiss Chard: Onions, cabbages, beetroot
  • Peas: Carrots, beans, corn, radishes, cucumber, turnip
  • Cucumber: Corn, cabbage, radishes, beans
  • Lettuce: Radishes, carrots, beetroot, parsnip
  • Parsnip: Onions, radishes, lettuce
  • Other Fall greens you can plant include: asparagus, garlic, and parsley
